- Dr. Rishi Manchanda is a board-certified primary care internist and pediatrician, HIV specialist, and the Director of Social Medicine and Health Equity at St. John's Well Child and Family Center, a community health center in south central Los Angeles. As the Director of Social Medicine, Dr. Manchanda coordinates the strategic alignment of clinical, programmatic, research and advocacy work to address social determinants of health in south central Los Angeles. Dr. Manchanda is a member of the Board of Directors of the National Physicians Alliance and is the founder and national chair of the Rx Vote Campaign, a nationwide effort to increase civic participation among patients and clinicians. He is the chief architect of the South Los Angeles Declaration of Health and Human Rights, a grassroots advocacy tool to link the treetops of international human rights law to community needs.
